Charming pre-war apartment close to NYU main campus

Hello! My roommate is moving out of New York this summer, and I am now looking for someone to take their room. This is a two-bedroom one-bath apartment in Chelsea. It is located in a lovely pre-war building and is a fourth-floor walk-up. The... apartment is a 2-minute walk from the 14th/8th Ave Subway (A, C, E, and L) or 18th/7th Ave Subway (1 train), and a 25-minute walk to Washington Square. It is also a short distance from the West Village and a ~ 25-minute walk to Penn Station.

The ceilings are 10ft. There is plenty of natural light throughout the day, even in the bathroom, which has a skylight! I don't really like using overhead lights; I’m a lamp person. The wood floors are original to the building and are in lovely condition; you can still see the tree trunk cavities, which I gush over. The building is rather small, so everyone knows each other, and is friendly. Laundry is located in the basement. The bathroom has a blue toilet (just saying :D )!

The apartment is partially furnished. I moved in a year ago, so I am still working to furnish the apartment. I am rather particular with the aesthetic (mid-century French provincial / 1970s chic), which leaves me at the mercy of Facebook Marketplace to find the right pieces of furniture. I currently have a 6-seater dining table, a 4-seater couch, and a vintage Blaupunkt stereo (which I am currently restoring). I also built some bookshelves to hold my record/book collection.

I have lots of kitchen supplies: pots, pans, bowls (I collect vintage Pyrex :P), dishes, etc. The vacant bedroom is currently furnished with a bed (not sure if my roommate is going to bring it with them, though). The closet is located off the hallway with hanging rods and floor-to-ceiling shelving.

Do message me if you have any further questions or inquiries in this room! I’ve adored living here and am certain that anyone else would too.
