Sunny Room in 2bdrm in PLG for May 1

My roommate is looking to sublet or have a lease takeover for his room in PLG. There is an option for renewal at the end of the lease. I live at 186 Lenox Road in a 2bdrm apartment. The room is spacious with lots of light and a closet. The apartment... has wood floors, nice appliances in the kitchen and a bathtub. It is a quiet apartment that does not face the street. You would be moving in and living with me, an NYU administrator and staff member.

The apartment is available for move in on May 1 (possibly a bit earlier if you wanted as he will be moving out April 15). The lease ends on September 1st. There is a possibility to renew the lease in September.

The room will not be furnished but the rest of the apartment will be.

We each pay $1444.44 a month in rent. Subletter is also responsible for splitting utilities (electric and internet -- costs listed on this page as well). The building has an elevator, gym, laundry in basement and mailroom. There is also a garage for an additional monthly fee. It's right by the 2/5 and a short walk from the Q/B. It is a 15 minute walk from Prospect Park and right near tons of grocery stores (Lincoln Market), shops and bars on Flatbush and Rogers.

Preference for a roommate who is 25+ and queer. No preference around wfh. If you like cats that is a plus but must be able to live with an (adorable) cat.

I work at NYU as an administrator in CAS. I have one very sweet cat who I fully care for, but she does like to snuggle with all people. I work 9-5 in the office (one day wfh on Thursdays) during the school year with some possibility of that shifting in the summer months. The culture in the apartment is very friendly but not rowdy/party vibes.

We are looking for a roommate who is tidy and maintains the space as a quiet and friendly environment.
