I’m looking for someone to take over my lease for a private room in a 3B1B apartment in Bed-Stuy starting January 1, 2026. The lease runs through July 31, 2026 (7-month takeover). The apartment is located at 543 Madison Street, Apt 4R, Brooklyn, NY... 11221. The room is approximately 105 square feet, unfurnished, and has a large southeast-facing window that brings in plenty of natural light. The room also includes a decently sized closet for storage. I’m also selling my current furniture if you prefer a furnished setup.

You’ll be living with two other NYU students who are both quiet, clean, and very respectful of personal space, making this a great environment for someone who values a peaceful, student-friendly home. Rent is $1182 per month, and utilities (electric, gas, and Wi-Fi) are split evenly among the three roommates.

Transit access is one of the biggest advantages of this location. The B15 bus stops literally outside the front door and connects directly to the A, C, F, and M trains. The subway stations are also about a 15-minute walk away, and the commute to NYU typically takes around 35 to 40 minutes.
