Furnished 1BR w/private bath in a spacious, bright 2 bed/2 bath unit.

The apartment is a 2 bed, 2 bath new construction building located on Frederick Douglass Blvd (8th Ave), between 112th and 113th, in South Harlem. We currently split our time between NYC and another city, so we are only in the apartment a few days... per month and the holidays.

The apartment is within proximity to public transportation, restaurants, bars, bakeries, coffee shops, and 3 grocery stores. Central Park and Morningside Park are blocks away. The local train B,C is 2 blocks away at 110th, with an express A,C,E at 125th and an express 2,3 a short walk to 110/Central Park North. Metro North Harlem Station is 5 min away by car, and there is ample off-street and garage parking in the area.

We are renting the second bedroom of our apartment, which is fully furnished with a full bed, desk, and dresser. Being on the 8th floor, the huge east-facing windows fill the apartment in natural light. The room has its own bathroom with full-size bathtub/shower across the hall with linens, sheets, pillows, and comforters provided. Laundry is located in the building on the first floor, but there are several wash and fold places on the boulevard.

There is a good-sized, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher open to the rest of the living space. The common space has a dining table for 4, small sofa, 2 lounge chairs, and a large TV surrounded by bookshelves with ample storage. Other than an occasional long weekend and longer stays over the holidays and summer, the apartment would generally be all yours. (Please note, we are renting the second bedroom ; main bedroom is off limits.

The room rents for $2,300, plus utilities and includes one professional cleaning/month. Utilities tend to run $80-$110/month, but higher in the warmer months. AppleTV provided with streaming services (Amazon Prime, Netflix, Peacock, Paramount+…). We also require a $2000 deposit for moving in, returned upon moving out.
