East Village Apt with Private Roof Deck; 2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom
I'm looking for a female roommate to renew a 1-year lease for my apartment in the East Village. It's a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit with a loft, a large skylight, a private deck, and a gorgeous skyline view! The apartment is on East 7th St between 2nd... and 3rd Avenues, so it is a 7-10 minute walk to campus, 2 minutes from Astor Place/6 train and Wegmans, and 4 minutes from the NQRW 8th St/NYU stop.
This unit is a winged bedroom (no formal living room). However, the upstairs loft space and outdoor deck serve as our living space. The bedroom you'd be renting is fairly small, but it has a deep closet and a window that lets in a lot of light. There is a dishwasher and a full kitchen. There is no in-unit or in-building laundry; however, there is a reasonably priced wash and fold laundry service on the street level and plenty of laundromats within a 2-block radius. Management is also very responsive.
The apartment is a 5th-floor walk-up. Please do not consider this apartment if you have any issues walking up stairs.
For this location, view, and price, this apartment is truly unbeatable! My current roommate is only leaving because she is moving cities.
About me: I'm a recent NYU graduate staying in my apartment while starting my new job and applying to medical school! As a roommate, I'm very clean and diligent about picking up after myself. I am looking for a roommate who considers themselves clean as well. I tend to go to bed around 10:30 and wake up around 6:30 on work days, and I am rarely home throughout the day.
