2 Rooms Available in Faculty Brownstone - Boerum Hill

We have 2 bedrooms available for student rental in our brownstone house (NYU Faculty Member) -an affordable and safe alternative for studying in New York. Each room can accommodate 1 person and is a good sized, light filled room with a full size bed... , desk and chair, bookcases, and closet. A shared lounge area includes seating, satellite television, apartment size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and toaster oven for self-sufficient meal preparation. The adjacent laundry room is shared with the family. The bathroom is a shared setup with the other boarder. Students are the best candidates.
This is a family environment, not a B&B or boutique hotel, so we are not acting as a concierge, domestic servant, or substitute parent.
This is a great location, convenient to all public transportation, and there is a smaller, friendlier feel to the neighborhood here in Brownstone Brooklyn as compared to Manhattan, but with all the amenities of the city.
Policies: Each student renting a room should be at least 18 years old. No overnight, male, or unannounced guests would be permitted. No smoking, recreational drug use and underage drinking by tenant or visitors. House rules for noise, guests and general tidiness to be observed.
Rate: $325/week for each room with a $325 security deposit; Lease and completed application required.
Transportation: Walking distance to NYU Brooklyn campus. NYU Manhattan campuses accessible by subway. Closest subway: Bergen Street stop on the F train; 2/3, 4/5, R trains within walking distance. B65/63 buses from Atlantic Avenue.
Amenities: Full-sized bed and linens, satellite television, coffee maker, microwave and toaster oven, dishwasher, wireless internet services accessible , use of washer & dryer. Closets in room, but no storage outside the room. Air conditioner in each room –but no central air conditioning throughout the house. Numerous cafes, boutiques, and shops on Smith Street -a lively scene. Prospect Park, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, and Brooklyn Museum accessible by subway.
Exclusions: The rental is for the bed room, shared lounge and bathroom privileges, and does not include free access to the family living areas and kitchen, backyard, personal possessions, or computer equipment.
