2 Adjoining Sun Drenched Rooms For One Person with Private Entrance

$1300 for both rooms! Flexible Dates!

For rent are 2 completely private rooms - a living room and bedroom (for one person) with your own separate entrance to this 2BR apt. This is a perfect rental for someone who wants to live alone, as you have so...
much space and privacy. The only shared rooms are the bathroom and kitchen. You will be sharing the apartment with me only (and my little dog).

The bedroom for rent is 13 x 8 and has one window, 2 dressers, a lamp, an a/c, and a super comfortable full sized built in bed. The bedroom leads to a huge 11 x 14 room with 2 large windows, a desk, a chair, 2 closets, and a large shelving unit.

*** Both rooms face the street so there is some street noise.

The bathroom is tiny but extremely clean with great water pressure.

The kitchen is fully stocked and has an oven, toaster oven and microwave. Unfortunately, there is no room in the cabinets to bring anything into the kitchen but you will of course have a cabinet for food.

***The con to this rental is that the apartment is designed in the typical old NYC railroad style- meaning you have to walk through one room to get to the next room. Luckily, I am usually away for months at a time so you won't have to do this. There are 2 entrances to the apartment so to get to the kitchen and bathroom when I am not away, you have to use your private entrance to walk a few steps in the hallway to reach the other entrance which leads to the bathroom and kitchen. This only takes 5 steps! I am away for around half of the year so would not need to walk through the hall and will have the whole apt to yourself. There is only one other apartment in the building with a female tenant upstairs, so it is rare to run into anyone else in the hall.

The apt is located 2 blocks away from the 77th Street R stop in Brooklyn. The neighborhood is calm and safe. It takes 30-35 minutes to get to NYU during the day. On our block there is the best Italian bakery in Bay Ridge, a supermarket, pharmacy, wine shop, Dunkin' Donuts, Subway, a bodega, 2 bars, and a bank. One block over, you will find a 24 hour fruit and vegetable store, more bodegas, a pizza place, one of the best Italian restaurants in Bay Ridge, a Chase bank, a laundromat, and an old school delicious diner. There is a lovely park a 5-10 minute walk away. If you are a bike rider, you can bike to the water in 10-15 minutes where there is a beautiful 4 mile long bike path that runs along the water with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the Verrazano bridge. There is also a ferry stop which is a 25 minute walk away.

***This rental if started Dec1, will be for 5 months with the option to extend on a month to month basis if we are a good fit as roommates. If you need to move in later, we can discuss.

I am looking for someone who:

1. Loves dogs (I have a sweet rescue Chihuahua/ Dachshund who won’t have access to your rooms and always stays in my rooms with the doors closed, but occasionally you may bump into him in the kitchen). It’s important to me that whoever I live with is very friendly with my dog.
2. Is very clean
3. Prefers to be quiet/ not have too many guests over
4. Does not have any additional pets
5. Preferably does not work from home

Rent does not include utilities.

Internet is $45 per person a month but I am searching for a better rate.

Bills are split 50/50:

Gas ranges from $30 per person in the summer to $100 per person in the winter with excessive use (we pay for gas heat in the winter)

Electricity ranges from $30 per person in the winter to $125 per person in the summer ($125 is a high estimate for 2 a/c's running in the apt)

Please contact me and tell me a little bit about yourself and please feel free to ask me any questions as well! Thank you!

About This Lister
I was born and raised in Manhattan. I've spent a lot of my life living in California and in Europe. I speak French fluently. I'm a woman and work in the music business. I work from home during the week. On the weekends, I sometimes work in nightclubs but my schedule varies from week to week. I'm a very laid back person and my apartment is my oasis- I like to keep it very quiet and clean and am looking to live with someone who would like to live the same way.
